Inside Sales Draftsman and Detailer (Jobs Ref #: 0304202501)

Job Overview: Draftsman-Detailer-Inside Sales.
We are seeking a multi-task individual that is skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman/Detailer/Inside
Sales to join our sales – engineering team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in
transforming conceptual engineering designs into detailed, accurate, and comprehensive technical
drawings. As a Draftsman/Detailer, you will collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to
produce high-quality drawings that serve as a blueprint for the manufacturing and construction
processes.
Job Title: Draftsman/Detailer/Inside Sales
Responsibilities for Draftsman – Detailer:
1. Technical Drawing:
– Create detailed and precise technical drawings based on engineering designs, specifications,
and calculations.
– Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce 2D and 3D drawings.
2. Collaboration:
– Work closely with engineers and other team members to understand project requirements and
specifications.
– Incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and enhance drawings.
3. Documentation:
– Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including drawings, bills of materials, and
specifications.
– Ensure all drawings comply with relevant industry standards and regulations.
4. Quality Control:
– Conduct thorough reviews of drawings to identify and rectify errors or inconsistencies.
– Implement quality control measures to ensure accuracy and precision in all drawings.
5. Communication:
– Effectively communicate technical information to team members and other stakeholders.
– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address design-related challenges.
6. Continuous Improvement:
– Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and advancements in CAD software.
– Propose and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibility of Inside Sales:
– Receive and process orders from customers via phone/fax / email.
– Follow up on back orders by reviewing back-order logs weekly.
– Work closely with inside sales to help process quote inquiries. 

– Work with production to be up to date on any delays on materials, products and if there are
any press scheduling conflicts.
– Work with shipping if there are any last-minute changes to orders, either example if quantity
or shipping information changes to advise them as quickly as possible so there is very little
disruption to our shipping department.
– Receive purchase orders from customers.
– Fill out forecast and open order reports for customers as requested.
– Work closely with production and sales teams on orders and scheduling within the
production floor.
– Process material schedules for the shop floor daily.
– Work with shipping daily to make sure orders are shipped in a timely manner.
– Follow up with customers on order status and if shipments are late and or new ship date
information.
– Enter orders for my designated sales reps in a timely and accurate manner.
– Answer questions about purchase orders and invoice inquiries
– Enter orders for replacement parts as needed for installations in the field.
– Take phone calls regarding product questions and order inquiries.
– Assist with the engineering and purchasing department in updating and completing
workbooks and opening job list.
Qualifications:
– Proven experience as a Draftsman or Detailer in an engineering environment.
– Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as SolidWorks.
– Strong attention to detail and accuracy in technical drawings.
– Knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.
– Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education and experience:
-Associate degree or equivalent in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field is very helpful.
– Minimum of [5] years of experience as a Draftsman/Detailer in an engineering setting.
– Proficient in Microsoft Office and Excel.
